19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult season, winning just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from March of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has won 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and regular reactions on the tennis court had caused some to question if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, supported by an improved service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
He rescued 4 early opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
